ALFA ROMEO MONTREAL BIANCO 1971

ALFA ROMEO MONTREAL BIANCO 1971

History.

The Alfa Romeo Montreal was launched during the world expo in Montreal 1969. In total 3900 units are produced between 1971 and 1977. The Montreal is one of the most exotic 2+2 sports cars built by Alfa Romeo designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone. Stylistically, the most eye catching feature is the car front end with four headlamps partly covered by grilles.  The slats behind the doors (Miura styling) contain the cabin vents, but apart from that only serve cosmetic purposes.

This Car.

This early series 1971 Alfa Romeo Montreal is in outstanding and original condition with 65.000 km on the instruments and two owners from new. Based on a well preserved body the car had one respray in the original “Bianco” and the paintwork is show quality. This is one of the cleanest Alfa Romeo Montreals we have ever seen.

Dashboard and instruments are unmarked and look like new. Seats are refurbished with original navy/black Alfa Romeo textile and the interior is in excellent condition with the original wooden Hellebore steering wheel.

The  Spica injected  2.4  V8 engine is the down-tuned version of the Tipo 33 sportscar. With 200hp and an incredible sound the Montreal performs like a sportscar : 7.6 seconds 0-100 and 220kph top speed. This example is in very healthy mechanical condition and the engine bay looks factory original with all the right details. Service history is available.

This is a superb example of Alfa Romeo’s seventies supercars and one of the best Montreal’s on the market.
